t-8 days till departure
it still feels surreal to be leaving singapore for a prolonged period of time, and not knowing exactly when i'll be back in this city i call my home. while i am excited for adelaide, and all that it has to offer, i also feel apprehensive about leaving behind the convenience and familiarity of singapore, not being able to see the people i love as often and as i would like, and also the sweltering heat (yes, i'll miss that too!).
but i should be more positive and look toward the impending life changes. university! i actually made it in. (will i make it out?) roadtrips! i've been religiously scouring instagram for pretty places to visit while i'm there. it gives me something to look forward to, i guess, and it feeds the passion i have for beautiful and natural places like mountains, waterfalls, parks, beaches. stargazing is definitely on the list. can't wait.
packing...
has been hard. i have too many things. i wish i lived a more minimal life. too many clothes, too many pairs of shoes, and way too many bags, considering me, being a creature of comfort, usually rotate between 2-3 bags at a time. but me, also a victim of consumerism, has continuously fallen for the traps, which is why and how i am where i am - struggling to pack my life into a single suitcase haha
