Our dreams should be given to God in prayer for validation and safekeeping. Otherwise, the enemy will do everything possible to distort a dream into fantasy, which is purposed solely for self-gratification.
These two sentences blew me away. There is so much truth in it, and I couldn't agree more. This defines the fine line between dreams and fantasy, and how our failure of giving our dreams to God could adversely affect us.
Often, we are so caught up in chasing our goals in life, and making new ones after we've reached some, to the extent that we get so lost in it and forget who we're doing it all for. We're doing it all for God. Our sole existence is to bring glory and praise to Him through the things we do and through the things we say. We get so engrossed in chasing dreams, so much so that it comes to a point where fulfilling these goals are to satisfy our ever growing need to feel accomplished. We miss out on the point that we're doing all the things we do for Jesus, and without our dedication of dreams to Him, everything we do becomes pointless and loses all meaning. Also, giving our dreams to God for validation is of utmost importance, because we need to know if what we intend to achieve is what He has planned for us.
It serves as a personal reminder to me to keep the purpose of my goals on bringing glory to Him, and not to myself, and also that everything I do, I do for Him and Him alone.
