On richness and wealth

The thing that's been constantly brought up over the past few weeks is that sometimes, the richest people are the saddest and most insecure ones.

As the amount of money one can own is indefinite, people who chase the riches will never get satisfaction. They will never truly be happy with the massive amount of money in their fat bank accounts, with all the latest technological devices, with all the cars in the world in their bigass basement. Also, they have to constantly worry about whether their things are up-to-date, and worry about whether they're in a safe place.

In their fast-paced lives where time is money, they will never enjoy the satisfaction of the simple joys in life. That is until they grow old, and start to slow down. It's sad, really. When they're old, they're faced with the worry of who to pass their wealth and possessions to, and whether that person is going to make the right decisions. They spend a large percentage of their time worrying, and not enjoying their wealth.

A simple person who works just enough to get by can go home on time, spend time with his family, relax, be contented with the things he has and enjoy the beauties of the world. He doesn't have to have a million bucks in his bank account to experience happiness.

What gives?
